vin decoding neeeded
I am new to this site and have found it most informative I have a 62 unibody and I am starting a rebuild. I would like to know as much as possible about it. the numbers are as follows:serial/vin#f10jn21, color:114b, tran:a, axle 12, hp:114@3600. I was told it came with a 292 but find this hard to believe since there was a 6 cyl in it when I got it. I pulled out the 6 and thanks to concours for supplying me with a great new crossmember Im putting in a 400 that i got in a 65 for parts.

Sorry you got some bad initial info, was it from this board? here is something more to ponder:
F10 = F100
J = 223 I6 1v carb 114hp@3600 rpm
N = Norfolk assembly
21xxx = September 61 build sequence
114 = wb (shortbed I think)
B = Turquoise (sort of greenish)
A = 3 speed tranny
Axle 12 = 3:89 gears
