i know a majority of guys on here recomend buying the tru-cool transmission cooler, but i was wondering will just any ol tranny cooler work fine, or does a person have to get the good one. i strongly agree "you get what you pay for" but it seems the coolers i have looked at all seem the same to me, how different can they be, (besides having an electric fan attached) the oil flows through the cooler and back to the tranny. i want to add one more to my truck, the stock one kinda looks a little small, but just wanted to know what you guys think?

most of the difference is the cooling capacity, the tru-cool is a 40,000# unit if you want to sure and tow big loads, its the one to go with. i did not want to have that big cooler dumping heat into my radiator and intercooler so i got a 24,000# b&m and mounted it between the factory fog lights (its 8"x 6" x 1.5") and inline with the factory coolers. my temp never hits 200* towing my camper and boat together. the true test will be when i get a fifth wheel and double tow it and the boat (i have a truck camper now)
