4x4 Problem
I just recently got a 1989 Ford F150 4x4 wiht a 302. I just ran into a problem now. I was shifting from 4l into 4H and I broke the bolts off that hold the 4x4 shifter onto the linkage. It felt like it was in a low gear but it seemed like 2 wheel drive, and the 4x4 light wasn't on. A couple days ago I through the vice grips on the spot where the shifter would bolt to the linkage, and shifted it into 4H and the 4x4 light is on, but I can not get it into two wheel drive. In four wheel I can unlock the hubs, but the 4x4 drive light is still on. What might be wrong? I'm completely clueless.
