Truck pics
It's hard to see in the pictures: What tie-downs do you have installed? Are they mounted to the sheet metal? Any chance of a closer picture of that? Thanks!

Very sharp ride!How/what holds the lower body panels on?Are they stainless or aluminum?Where did you get them from and what do they cost?I saw the new Lincoln Mark LT this weekend. It comes standard with lower panels.I think they look very nice and give your truck a very classy look! Are they designed to keep water and road salt out from behind them. Thanks for any info. you can provide.Thank You and Good Luck! It's hard to see in the pictures: What tie-downs do you have installed? there are not many regular cab flaresides around. i have a 2005 FX4 rcab flareside. you won't find many like that.
the tie-downs come on the flareside from the factory. the rear fenders of the flareside are very different from the styleside. they are made for the tie-downs with recessed areas where they attach. it's a very clean look and well made. Ford did very good with the flareside. the look of the flareside, with the tie-downs made into it, is one of the reasons i bought mine.

brannon had it right, the flaresides are bult in with the tie downs, I will try to find a closer pic of it somewhere, maybe Ford has it on their site.
The rocker panels are stainless steel, they have a 3M adhesive on the back and once they are stuck they don't come off. It is a solid adhesive on the entire back, so water and dirt will not get behind it.
I had a company called Auto Trim Design put them one, it was a bit over $100. I had them put on to keep rock chips off of the paint, I think it makes the truck look heavier. The guy who was installing them said they normally don't put the piece in between the wheel and the bumper on the back. That small piece doesn't come pre-cut to fit and he said he couldn't cut it without getting a burr in it, I grabbed his snips and tried it and it cut great for me. What the guy didn't know is that I was a sheetmetal worker for 3 years, when he said he got the burr I knew what he was doing wrong, he was closing his snips all the way, if you don't finsish the full cut and just close your snips 1/2 to 3/4 of the way it will be a smooth straight burr free cut. He marked where to cut the piece and I cut it, he said normally he wouldn't put that piece on which I thought was strange.
The cargo in the back is my dog box. The truck hauls my brittany's and I around, I wish I had a reg. bed so that if I bought a new box I could get a wider one, right now it is the one I use to haul in my '96 Ranger and it matches the Ranger. The box is about 47' lomg but it isn't very wide, it was built to fit between the wheel wells of a compact truck, so there is alot of space in my truck with this small box in it. The box will get repainted this summer to match the new truck.
