Ford 450 Triton V-10 Electrical "Noise"
I install Power Line Vision Systems, the new rear vision system that sends video over existing wring harnesses. The NEW! Ford 450 Triton V-10 appears to have something that is not common on other make trucks. There is something creating electrical “Noise” with this new rear view system. This system uses power line carrier technology. I can install the system on trailers & other trucks both in about 45 mins. total time. However, with the noise/interference in the V-10, I have had to run a power line in the truck back to the hitch in order to bypass the noise. I can still do a complete rear vision install on V-10 truck and trailer in about 1.5hrs. I still search for the “Noise” maker. Thank You!

Is this a commercial or a question? Sorry if it sounds like a commercial. I NEED an answer to this problem that needs some Ford Expertise. I can’t find if there is a power line carrier filter somewhere on the truck. All the wiring diagrams don’t show any information such as I am looking for. I will be installing another unit at the end of the week and wish to know where to look when the truck comes in.

I believe starting with the 2005 modles Ford changed the communications channels of the various black boxes. They now communicate in old analog for some inputs but in digital for others and cross communication. At what frequency I am sure is a secret.
The New protocol is refered to as CAN I think it is Common Access Network

CAN- Controller Area Network.
All of the modes appear to be multiplexed, or are you utilizing the mobile media bus? CAN bus interface
I'm not sure if you want to impose another signal on this bus without create other issues.
Of course, this is my guess without having details as to the system specifics.

Noonan thanks for the back up and I did go back and check Controller Area Network. If my quick perusal is correct, Ford and Ohter manufactures have been looking for some time to deduce the wire lenghts, weights, voltage and amperage "loads" so this is one of the ways to have multiple items "looped" in the same circuit and direct particular signals to particular modules via CAN and digital multiplexing.
