Thumbs down State of ohio trying to pass..........

i seen on the news the other day that the state of ohio is trying to pass legislation that anyone in the state of ohio that sells anything on ebay be requiered to have an auctioneers license. they are trying to pass this so that the state can collect taxes on the items they sell. greedy greedy governments getting into our pockets once more.

Need to do some research on this, and get a copy of the bill first, then start e-mailing the the local rep's about it. Spreading the word to differant forums with state chapters would help in getting the word out about, also newsmen would help they alway's like a good story and this fits.

That's just crazy. We should get it out not only on this board, but any others you go to.
...and do you think ebay with all it's money won't be fighting this too?!!

I would be willing to send emails to reps, this is outrageous, if anymore information becomes available I am willing to lend support for Ebay, and all the people who use it.

Actually my rep is Chabot, although I was wondering, arent those reps listed national reps?? If this bill is going through for the state of Ohio then we need reps in the state house of representatives. Please correct me if I am wrong. As soon as we get this straightened out I will be firing off some emails.

Ya I have been there a few times on Friday nights, I actually work for a dairy farmer who farms the land right across the street. I live about 4 miles from the Hangin Tree Ranch on the other side of Millville.
