I would have to believe that if you can't jump at the solinoid, there is a bad connection at the battery. You should be able to jump the solinoid using the little post and the larger "hot" post. The starter should at least turn over. Perhaps the battery terminals and/or cables need to be replaced. Good luck. Jake.

I would start with the battery also check for good ground..if thats not it then check the ignition switch make sure you have 12-13 volts coming to the battery. and then 12 volts going from Battery to solinoid and then from solkinoid to starter. Good Luck Godbless
