friction modifier and leaks

friction modifier and leaks
I changed my rear diff. fluid and added the Ford friction modifier several months ago. While underneath today I noticed now that my diff. cover and also my pinion seal are leaking. I checked the level and its still fine. I checked the vent hose and it is not clogged. It must be something in the modifier that is making it leak. Any one else have this happen after changing theirs?

Thanks! I put the "blue" stuff on the gasket. Will try "the right stuff" when I change it again. It is not leaking much but that is a pet peave of mine. Got rid of a chevy that leaked like a siv. I'll be darned if I am going to let my Ford do the same. What about the pinion seal. Isn't it rubber? It didn't leak until addition of friction modifier.

You were prob low thats why it didn't leak. You need to have the seal replaced.
My rear end is leaking also after the work I did. I have a gasket and right stuff ready to go. I'm gonna save the fluid and reuse..
