i have the 10 k mod on my truck now and it works good except it throws the check engine light when i get up to speed i was wondering if i were to go higher with the resistor number like 11k or 12k would this make a difference or maybe i should check the resistor i have in there now it might not be a 10k iwas just given a small box of resistors and told which one was a 10k.Also iwas thinking of buying a edge ez module i have been told it is something similar to the 10k mod but if it is going to throw the check engine light too i would be out my money these thing are not cheap. Can someone please give me some input.
Made a post to your other on the EZ1000 Edge product. I just saw this post here. I have not got a check engine light ever with mine. Even in posistion 4 of the chip.
You can see some pic's of mine in my gallery if you like as well. For as reading the colors of ristors, thats a little tricky, I would go to radio shack and buy you the cardboard color band dial reader they have. I seem to remember they are less than five bucks.
Do you know wht code your getting? You really need to pull the codes and see what is going on. It might just be something simple. I also have never got a CEL with my 10k and its been in their for over a year.
