Does anybody know where I can get "inner fenders" (I'm not good in English so I don't know if that is the right expression) for my F-150 2004?
I hate when the mud fills even the rear bumper from inside.
I've looked ... looked and looked some more! I want some too... Have been thinking about making some! A few hair-brained ideas have gone through the ol noggin... The fronts ... yes, they'd be pretty easy to cover but the rears??? Hum... Nothing I've come across tickles my fancy! Wheel well liners seem to have been left out of the equation in the last couple years ... and on our f150's starting in 04. Was hoping the 05's would have them but alas it doesn't look very promising ... guess somebody with a bit-o time could make & sell them ... Heck I'd pay a nice coin for a decent fitting liner!
While I was putting on my Ford ABS mud flaps I noticed the rear is a little bare, but never thought much about it at the time.I think I would probably buy some if they were available and good fit.Why did Ford stop putting them on? $$?Do F250's still get them?
My old 95 Bronco had nice wheel wells, I was really dissapointed with the new 05 F150. That was one of the first things I noticed when I got it home. That and the ugly openings in the frame that you can see right through in the wells? Whats up with that???
Yesterday, I bought two F150 front inner fender shields LH & RH, at the Ford house and cut them down a little to fit up in the rear wheel area. Trimmed carefully, they fit and look great, as though it came that way. The inner shields don't extend all the way down forward of the rear wheel, but aft they extend down perfectly and wedge up in there very snugly. They are easily cut using good sharp scissors (wear gloves). I was able to bolt them in place using two of the original bolts up in the wheelwell area and drilling a corresponding hole in the plastic liner. They are not expensive at 41.62 for LH and 54.28 for RH. Another good choice is the rear liners for the F250/350 dualie. Just a suggestion.
Just to let anyome know who might be curious...... J.C. Whitney does carry "Gap Guards" for the inner fender area. HOWEVER......they only go up to the 2003 model year of F-150. They do not go any further.Sorry I can't help. I would love to have a set for mine as well.
Awhile back, someone posted part numbers for the liners for the Super Duties on their board.. I'd call the dealerships parts dept. and see if they can be ordered..
in the mean time I took some aluminium sheet and cut pieces of it to cover at least the "well hole" towards back. Helped something, but then realized that the rear mud flaps are a bit too short -- the corner of the rear bumper get still really full of mud.
