undercoating removal
Seems Ford got really carried away with the application on my donor cab....entire firewall is covered.....whats the safest/easiest way to remove it???? Ideally I'd like to keep as much of the original paint underneath for a good foundation for my new paint.
Suggestions anybody????

in the past i used a spray bottle with varsol or barbque fluid and plastic scrapers to remove undercoating just spray liberally and let it soak in good and scrape away keep a fire extinguisher handy but i have never had a problem as these liquids are not highly flammable as gasoline etc and seem to ignite only by open flame did my whole truck no problems

jo....my original cab does have it on firewall cept round heater mount points....rest is white....want that nice pretty tutone white firewall like new.
Thanks for the tips....cab is bare shell thats going on cept glovebox door and floormat.
