It depends on where you live and what you do with the van. I used to have only a 2WD version, but then the kids grew and I needed something I can take them camping with. Still, I was unable to make myself part with the old van, so I bought a 4WD Ext van. My feeling is that the 4WD version is a little bit harder to find parts for and it's a little harder to service, but not terribly so. The 2WD van, I now use to go around town and to work. But anytime we go up the mountain or on long trips I'll take the 4WD.

As Copper said, it depends what you are going to use it for. You also might want to go as indepth as what axle does it have (LS or no LS, ratio,) or even how many it seats. Due to the number of Aero's made, it is not too tuff to find what you are looking for.
