Yes! Spin the tire twice (because of open differential) and count how many times the driveshaft rotates, that will be your ratio. Hope this helps.

02 is 3:00 open diff. have the same in my 86 F150.

Yes, I did it backwards. Sorry!

You still have to divide by two because of the open diff. That part I managed to get right.

So you spin the tire twice, and then divide by 2?
Sorry for all the questions, it is just that I am getting conflicting reports, and for future use, I would like to know exactly what I am doing.

Two ways: Spin tire twice, no. of driveshaft turns is your rear axle ratio, OR spin tire once, multiply number of driveshaft turns by 2 for your rear axle ratio.
