Not sure if this has been talked about or not, saw this at the Ford House last time there. Seems that on some of the PSD's the torque converter cover shield that bolts up to the bottom of the bell housing of the auto tranny has the ablity to run the oil pan on some of our PSD motors. Results in a hole rubbed in the oil pan between the tranny and PSD.
Doesn't take much to rub the hole either, they had one in there getting fixed for this. Sure would hurt my feelings to find something as simple as that ruined the pan. Easy enough to fix if caught before the hole worn in the oil pan too. Just thought I would share this for those that might want to have a look see on your PSD. You guys have a great weekend...
