audiophile question

I was going to replace my cd radio with a audiophile 6-disk one and looked on the backof both radios. I see that the audiophile has three plugs plus the antenna plug and my single cd has two plugs plus the antenna? I am wondering if what each plug goes to. I know the big plug is for the harness. I am guessing that the medium size plug found on both radios is for the factory sub and the smallest plug found on the audiophile is for radio controls? Is this correct? And if so, could a factory sub and amp be hooked up to the single cd radio using the medium size plug or would you need to have the audiophile radio? Thanks in advance for any responses.

The non audiophile unit the way I understand it does not have sub capability. It does have steering wheel control capability. So it may be the medium plug is for the controls, and the smallest plug is for the sub. Better check a maintenance manual.

Thanks for the reply. I think you are right on the medium plug being for the steering wheel. Thanks.
