Shock Question

Quick Question for y'all. I am replacing the shocks in my girlfriends '00 Trailhead, and was wondering if the trailhead edition requires longer shocks than the regular 2wd ranger would use. I think it sits quite a bit higher than most of the normal 2wds, probably a good 3-4" right? Any input would be appretiated... I know y'all will probably know before the parts store would...

thanks!

i looked at a couple of onlline parts stores and they don't list the trailhead ranger for parts. I am going to make a guess here and say since the trailhead has the same suspension as the 4x4 then the 4x4 shocks will fit

the trailhead really has the same suspension as the 4x4? thats actually pretty cool. So they just used the front suspension components and left out the drivetrain or what?

thanks for the help. I suppose if it came down to it I could always just see which shocks looked like a better fit there at the store too...

i did another look see and found out you may have to look under the EDGE ranger. The Edge probably won't show up for 2000 but it will show up for 2001 and its the same as the 2000 trailhead

edge shocks were perfect! fit exactly. They really go cheap on those front shocks from the factory. the shock body doesn't even go all the way down... it was just a rod. We replaced them with monroe reflex or something, what an improvement! Thanks for the help.. i appreciate it.

my ford factory shocks lasted about 25,000 miles before they went bad. I replaced them with Bilsteins and have about 65,000 on them and they still ride great. They were worth the 65.00 per shock I paid for them
