I would guess that 79 would be rarer, because Ford made more pickup trucks in 78 than in 79.

The F350 was not produced untill 79 so that would make a 79 F350 4x4 supercab the rarest.

I read somewhere that Ford produced more trucks in 78 than in any other year during the 70s. They made over 600,000 trucks in 1978.

I'll never forget the 2 the tree nursery had down the road from me. One was blue & silver the other red & I think white or silver both 350's & had all the crome, 78 or 9 ? Both had square headlights. I looked at them one year when they were just sitting in the weeds & they didn't look bad, wish I'd have bought one or both of them now.

According to this post they made 10,485 F-250 Supercabs in '78.

http://www.fordtrucks.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=350771

They did not make any 4x4 F-350's of any kind as far as I know in '78.....

According to my research from Ford they made 1761 4x4 F-350 Supercabs in '79. I don't have a production number for F-250 Supercabs in '79.

If we only knew the stuff we should have bought when we had the chance!

I did get that 1761 production number from Ford over the phone. She could not break down what came with what as far as options but did supply me with a total build #.

The value goes up every day. I hope!

No, I bought it from a local guy. It was listed on there though. It did come from Ocean City, California about 6 years ago.
