I have '89 E150 W/5.0. This van was running fine it simply died. There was no indications of anything going bad.It simply quit.B/4 I go into the expense of replacing the hi PSI fuel pump I would like to make sure the inertia switch hasen't been tripped. Its really hard to check if I can't find it. Thanx.dead without a reason

Look up above the pedal area too, it could be there on the inside of the firewall near the fuse box.

Thanx,I found the switch.passenger side beside th heat/AC unit.It wasn't tripped I by passed the fuel pump relay. The hi psi pump works. It is on frame rail under drivers throne.By bipassing the fuel relay, pump runs continus.I didn't have a pressureguage, butthere's fuel. When I hit th ignition it fired, but didn't stay running.Gave it a shot of ether and she cranked right up.The motor ran smooth for about 30/40 seconds and died.Hit ign again,no ether, motor hit 2 or3 cyl dies. The van has dual tanks. Both tanks are full of fuel.I just can't picture both of the in tank pumps going out.Could my problem be in fuel tank selector?
