'55 F-100 Diff. gear ratio

'55 F-100 Diff. gear ratio

Hello truck world. Does anyone know what a stock rearend gear ratio usually is on a '55 F-100? I'm just looking for a ballpark number. I was hoping someone would have a guesstimate before I have to start spinning the rear wheels and counting. Thanks!!

Mine was 3.92 with the 3 speed trans. Have you checked the rating plate on the inside of the glove box? It will tell you the ratio.

4.09:1
4.27:1

these are the only ratios I have listed for the f100's in 55

Thanks for the info. The '55 has a 6 banger in it so I thought it might be a higher ratio. I will check the glove box for the rating info when I get back to where the truck is. Keep those cards and letters coming in. This is great...
