Speed Cable lub.

My speed needle jumps a lot. It was just a little ,But now it is really bad from about 30 mph up.Reading past post it sounds like it need lubed.Will the cable pull out from the bottom to clean and oil. This is a 77 F250 with a 4 speed

No, you have to remove the connection & the plastic speedo gear first.

Most likely the cable is beyond repair, -replace it.

I agree. Once it starts to bounce more than 5mph or so, it's shot. A new cable with sleeve is only $20, just replace the whole thing.
