Really need Tranny help!!!
Ok, here it is, 95 F150 5.0 4x4 with a 4R70W. Likes to downshift at the drop of a hat. And now it likes to completely pop out of gear after about an hour of run time. When it does this the overdrive indicator on the end of the shift stalk blinks repeatedly for a while. I'm not dumb, this flashing light has to mean something. It will continuosly pop out of 2nd, 3rd & OD until I pull over and shut her down for five-ten minutes. Then the problem does not come back for a while. Fluid changed less than 10,000 miles ago. Fluid color is perfect and it has no burnt smell. It has a new MLP switch. What does this sound like to you? Converter, pump, clutch packings, loose valve body bolts? I'm lost at the drivetrain thing!! Really counting on your help guys!!
