Does any one have a problem with dogs peeing on their truck tires? how do you get them to stop? maybe some kind of chemical, electrical shock..

Have to ask this question- was one of the other neighborhood dogs...or cats there first? That's usually the reason why they do that- it's a doggy way of saying "this one's mine!"

My dog did it for a while when he was a pup, but a few zaps with the shock collor (I was in the process of training the dog to stay in the yard) and he hasn't done it since.

Now my dog has gotten in the habit of peeing on the side of the house. I think it is time for the shock collor again.

Maybe try washing the tires? And keeping an eye on him at all times when he's not in the house or fenced in. Personal attention from you will reinforce the "you listen to me because I'm the master" bit. My dog has never used my truck, or any of our other vehicles, as a urinal. He does kind of think that he owns them though... probably because when he was little, he was ALWAYS driving around with me and my siblings! I still like to drive with him, but at 120lbs and HUGE (not fat, HUGE) he doesn't fit as well.
It sounds like your dog has already made a habit, meaning it's going to be a lot of work to break him of that. You might try planting a small tree... Offering an alternative just might work!

Yeah I should mention I didn't do the paintball thing for a dog peeing on tires, it was for a dog that chases cars. It did the trick for a month or so but instinct takes over again.

Maybe you shouldn't drive a Chevy! (Just kidding) Electricity will work, if you can hook it up to the car w/o damaging the car's electrical system, and posing a hazard to unsuspecting people, esp. kids. Before everyone sounds off about cruelty, the British, dog lovers that they are, use an electric grid (I'm assuming pretty mild voltage) which they put in shrubbery to stop peeing dogs.

get your neighbour to park there cars or trucks on your driveway for a few weeks. Then when your dog gets used to peeing on their tires, tell your neighbours to take a hike and park there trucks on there own yards....lol. Hopefully your dog will now leave your tires alone.

All body shops have tire covers, maby ask where they get them, or make your own.

I bird hunt 3-6 days a week at a hunting club, my truck tires are always peed on.
When the truck is just sitting in the driveway I let my dog go pee on one and no other dog goes near the truck to mark over his spot. Of course he doesn't let any other dogs in the yard either.
