I dinged the chrome front bump on my 2001 Lariet Supercrew. I was planning on heading to the local salvage yard to find a replacement. I have a couple of questions.
1. Are all 97 to 03 F-150 chrome bumpers the same part number?
2. Do I need to worry about blowing the airbags or anything special when I remove the the bumper?
99-03 are the same part. 97-98 are different. Try to find a local aftermarket fender shop. You shold be able to pick one up for about $120 or so.
No problems with the air bags. The sensors are on the header ( panel that ratiator attachs to). You'll see them, and you'd have to bust one with a hammer to maybe set it off.
