Reason: took out ebay
I have a 85' with the same setup as you, but Mine is an XLT Lariat. I have Tilt Steering. Go to www.car-part.com and you should find one. I searched for your year and found good ones from $65.00 on up.
thanks for the reply,I checked the link and it said could not locate one but now that I know thay really do exist I will not stop my everlasting search for one.65.00 for one sounds like a killer price to,love to get a deal like that.
I read this earlier and it didn't hit me until I got into mine and drove it, i have tilt with a 4 speed, factory on a 86 XL, so shouldn't be all that hard to find one.
After looking on line at all the tilt columns I could find and for the money they want I think that is a part I would like to see in person a lot of the ones I saw say there loose , how loose is loose? I live in Cape May County NJ not many junkyards around here. most guys now take vehicles straight to a crusher for cash rather then bring them to the local savage yard to be used for parts.A buddy of mine owns a rollback and does this all the time but when he gets a ford pickup he lets me know first and sometimes drops them off to my shop and lets me get off what I can use and picks it back up no charge.I got a lot of good parts that way. There Is only three main roads in to cape may county and my shop is on one of the busiest roads I see lots of trucks and broncos headed to the shredder and it makes me sick.Wish I had the land I start my own ford truck grave yard LOL!
