one more possabillity, does your carb have an eletric choke ?

Finally tracked it down!
I had the alternator checked, It was putting out way too much current. Replaced that but still had the draw. We then started tracing and disconecting wires and traced it to the voltage regulator. Replaced it and the draw is gone.
