Steering Gear Box

Ok, it's been several years since I've replaced a steering gear box in one of my Broncos. This Bronco (1994) is my daily driver and I want to finish the project and not be stranded. For those of you that recently replaced you steering box, I'm looking for the time involved. I can't remember if this was a couple hour process or a whole day circus. For those of you that witnessed my earlier post my rag joint was fine. I attempted to adjust the box again with no luck. Only thing left to replace now. Thanks.

An hour or 2,unless you have friends like mine that show up with 30 packs and all the knowledge known to mankind.Then it is an all day job.2 p/s lines,4 bolts,1 nut on pitman arm.

It shouldn't take any longer than a couple hours if you have all the tools. pitman arm puller, torque wrench, 1-5/16" socket to remove pitman arm nut, soak down the p/s fittings and the pitman nut with penitraiting oil the day before.
