Finally got some good weather where I could bathe the Bronco and take some pictures. Feel free to take a gander.
Wish I could say that I did all the work myself. I bought it as it looks now with the exception of the RealTree Hardwoods headliner and door inserts. I bought it with 195K miles, new paint, and a rebuilt transmission. I have since had a rebuilt motor installed and did the usual parts swapping (water pump, fuel pump, alternator, etc.). The exterior accessories were added by the previous owner.
Nice truck! Love the winch bumper! I wanna find some cool patterned material to redo the headliner and inserts on mine too. Not necessarily Realtree but something different. Gotta go scour the fabric and upholstery wharehouses.
That looks really good. I'm in the middle of prepping for paint and been pondering what to do with the interior. Going to get the seats upholstered cause I want to change the all EB Tan look. Didn't even consider the door inserts or headliner. You gave me some great ideas.
Thanks...
Did you tackle that yourself? I think the inserts are squash pinned into the door panel. Wondering how it gets removed and then able to be reinserted.
Nice gallery, the Bronco looks like a million bucks!!! The local weather has been the pits this Winter, but I think it's time now to take the top off and go cruisin'!!!
Black Ford XLT-The winch bumper is from Ramsey. It came with the truck so I have no idea how much it cost. I saw a similar bumper on eBay a while back though for a reasonable price.
Drusplanet-My son & I did the front portion of the headliner and I did the rest. The old fabric on the door inserts was glued on and tucked under. I just peeled the fabric off and cut away the part that was tucked under. Used headliner adhesive and a sharp razor blade to do the rest. I do recommend that, if you apply fabric to the inserts, take a narrow blunt object and trace the outside of the fabric to press it down into the groove before you cut it. Also, the insert is in 2 pieces because of the hump for the lock/window controls. A busy fabric like I used will hide any seam.
