AHAH, Im looking for an auto switch, i dont know, I never thought i would drive a auto, but its kinda apealing, alot less maitance, my 300 seems to like clutches, just cuz i like going fast. I dont want a 3 SP auto tho, so the e4od is probably how i will go. Do you think the e4 will be as fast as a 5sp manual at the strip? Its only an 8th, and I dont know how well im shifting, I havent been able to get an accurate number cuz i cant get the tires to hook up, and they are friggen 31X10.5s

 

What about the C5 3spd auto, didn't Ford make a C5 in the '80s for 6cyl trucks that had the same external dimensions as the C4 but with a deeper oil pan or a pan with a strange bulge?
Maybe I'm mistaken.

Stay as Far Away from a C-5 as Possible, that is Nothing but one Big Headache of a Tranny.

 

Technically: same configurations BUT one 5sp tranny and other E4OD will produce different times at strip since 5sp is light weight than E4OD BUT the Auto has Torque Converter and it provides better aceleration and shorter shifting times...

 

Ive also heard that the e4od is kinda, well poop. Anyone put more than 300 HP through a e40d?
