One of my favorite paint schemes on a Bronco is the one that is pictured on the cover of the Haynes Manual #36058. It is white, midnight blue, white. It would be an easy fix for the whiteout issue. You would not believe how it adds to the Bronco either. There are several in our area with this paint scheme. I am partial to the midnight blue, myself. Check my gallery and I guess that would explain why. Now another killer look is the coppertone top, white middle, coppertone bottom, with the F/glass top painted copper tone. Kinda your choice. I also kinda like the white Broncos though, especially in the 100° summer temps we have here. Just my 2 cents.

Much like painting Vinyl, you must be very careful and prime correctly if you are going black on fiberglass, especially a textured item. You have to be careful not to fill to a gloss in areas and textured in others. I've seen one painted black to "rejuvinate" it. It was poorly done and looked like the f/glass had been repaired in 50% of the top. Remember dark colors absorb heat and as you're in the northwest, that may be a positive aspect. If you're partial to the hunter green, try a monochrome look with grill, mirrors, and all hunter or teal. Hope it turns out well.
