Put a new carb on my 51 F1. The only way I can get it to run at idle is about quarter choke. Can anyone help me with the proper adjustments? I'am kinda new at this and could sure use some help. The truck ran fine with the ole one, should have left it alone. Thanks in advance. Tim
For the V8 2bbl turn both idle adjust screws in until they just barely bottom out. Turn both out exactly 1 1/2 turns. If the adjustments have no effect then you need to tear it down and clean out the crud in the tiny passages.
The carb is a Ford/Holley 94 style, AKA Holley 2100. Rebuild kits are readily available.
Excessive choking means you are reducing air flow to make up for restricted gas flow.
