I have 2 66's one with a rebuilt 352 and the other is a 6 banger. I want to swap these. Both trucks have 370's in the rear. The tranny's are both 4 speeds. Would the gears be the same in both and can I just get away with swaping bell housings.

If the 2 trucks are the same year, just swap it from the bell housing forward as suggested. Use all the stuff from the V8 setup if that's the engine you're going to swap. Don't get rid of the donor truck until you're back on the road, you never know what little piece you'll need! Everything will be a "bolt in" situation. Swap the engine mounts, exhaust, radiator, acell. cable, etc....

I don't want to interfere but I'd like to clarify a point. BP66 said 4th gear will be 1:1 or "the same". He is 100% correct however. . . 1st- 2nd & 3rd gears may not be the same. One could be Clark or Spicer tranny other could be New Process or what ever. They definitely aren't same ratios, except for 4th gear in all Non O/D, 4 Gear, Trannies.
