Fender letters
Scott
I once took a pair of quarter-panels, and decided to get artistic. You can generate custom script on a computer (in MS WORD, for example) and print it, then take an exacto-knife and make a cut-out.
Use this to mark the letters on the quarter panel, then put a 1/16th to 1/8th inch patch of bondo on it.
Use very little hardener, because you may have to spend a bit on this next part -
Carve back the bondo until you just see the edges of the area you marked, and follow the outline. Once it hardens, lightly (LIGHTLY!!!!!!) round the edges with very fine wet-dry paper.
You can do the F-100 logo, or instead put the name of your truck on it, or just your plain old initials.
Once it is sprayed over with a matching paint color - it looks like it was stamped in at the factory!!!!
You can also highlite it with different paints, but I preferred to have it just "discovered", know what I mean?
