2005 XLT Floor mats?

I read in the catalog that the Superduty XLT trucks come with carpeted floormats. And, there is an option to get the rubber floor mats instead. How big are the rubber floor mats for a Crewcab? Am I better off getting the standard carpeted mats and then going to an autoparts store to buy some decent rubber mats?

Thanks,
Ron

I wanted the "All-weather mats" when I was looking for my truck, but it came with the carpeted mats as well. I looked in several parts stores before going to Ford for my floormats. I was able to get my dealer to give them to me for cost. I may be a bit more **** than you are when it comes to appearance items in my truck, but I couldn't find any aftermarket mats (in stores) that would fit exactly. They all needed to be trimmed some. I am very happy with the mats I got from Fomoco.

Are the carpeted mats worth having? I guess I am asking if they are of decent quality and do they cover the floor well? I have the same questions about the rubber mats too. I was thinking that when I am out slinging mud in the woods, it would be nice to have the rubber mats to protect the carpet. But, when I am doing less dirty things with the truck, the carpeted mats would be nice.

Do the carpeted and rubber mats adequately cover the floor areas under your feet? Do the rear mats in a crewcab cover the floor ok too?

Thanks.

I will tell you that the mats that came with my 03' are the best mats I ever had. They are the soft vinyl with the deep channels to catch all the mud and snow. A reall carpet saver. It also came with one for the rear (supercab). I have black carpet interior and it is a life saver in the winter with all the salt on your shoes. It keep the carpet from turning white.

i ordered the all weather mats w/my 05 cc and i wouldn't recomend them.they don't hold much water and it leaks over the side and runs down the carpet. if i could do it again i would get the carpet mats that come w/the truck and then bye the husky floor liners. husky mats are much bigger ,deeper and will cost you about 50$ well worth the extra 25$ from the factory one's. if you order all weather mats from ford you won't get the carpeted ones .

Check out Cabelas and the "Fox Floormats", they are not cheap but they are the Best I have ever used. I had them in my '99 F350 since day one & sold the the truck just last December & with the same "Fox Floormats" that still did a excellent job of catching & holding all of the dirt/mud off of the carpet. Take them out, wash them out with a garden hose, air-dry & reinstall.

I didn't order the factory all weathers because some on here posted that they were to small, so I just went with the carpeted mats. I will be getting some husky ones for everday use, found them at bass pro for 50 something dollars. Anyone on here have the huskys in a lariat with tan leather? if so how close do they match the tan leather interior ? Thanks in advance for any info!

To any of you that have bought and used the Husky mats: How well do they fit in these trucks? In the Cabelas catalog, the edge nearest the door doesn't appear to lay flat on the floor. It looks like I would catch my foot on it everytime I climbed into the truck.

I have the all weather mats, they came with with '03 best mats I've ever had. Can't relate much about the Husky mats although I've heard good things about them from several of my friends. I can say that the all weather FoMoCo mats hold water, snow, mudd, and sand very well. They've saved my carpet several times and I am very happy with them.

Me too. Husky's are great. I kind of wish I had the carpeted ones for summer time.

I can say from experience that the mats provided with the XLT package are not worth a thing - they weren't much bigger than a paper towel!

I went with some Catch-All mats through Cabela's, and they are pretty sharp. They are form-fitted to the interior contours and really look nice. I got the carpeted type, but I think they make a rubber type, as well. I'm very satisfied with them and would recommend them to anyone...

The rubber mats from Ford are great. I got the option with my 05 250 CC FX4.
The mats are like ones I have paid over $100 for.
