I used to watch American Chopper and occasionally I would turn on American Hot Rod. They were alright shows and I enjoyed to watch them but they do get old after a few episodes. I do have to hand it to the Discovery Channel though, they did finally put on a show about building something instead of just remodeling. All of those make over shows just drive me crazy, I remember one lady was running out of time and money so she stapled the curtains to the wall.

I really enjoy watching the Military Channel, they have a wide variety of programing. They had that whole week about Aircraft Carriers where they showed a few different shows. I know people get upset that they show the same shows over and over but if your watching tv enough to notice it's time for a hobby.

And the long pointy thing off the front fender.... Looks like it'll be about 12 feet long when it's all finished... I'll try to get down there to get a pic of the frame, probably won't be until they get back from Daytona though...

Locally though, the quality of the bikes is for the most part pretty good... no more comebacks than any other custom bike shop(there are several in the area)...
When did you see these plans? I have already seen the show where they build the bike for the Air Force. Hmmmm.

They might be doing another one then... I don't really watch the shows... Last week I was at the shop that they send some of their tanks and frames for custom paint (NUB Grafix, Walden, NY) and he had a few frames for OCC.. one of them was labeled air force and had quite a few drawings of the bike and some pics a jet (F14 maybe?)... I'm gonna ask about that next time I'm over there... Now I gotta try to find that episode and see if it's the same frame, it's very distinct looking..

EDIT:

ok I did a little searching around and I found a few pictures of the air force bike.... Definately not the same bike I described in the previous posts... this one has a little more rake and a much fatter tire on the rear... also the pics of this one have the long point on the front fender.... Like I said I'll try to get a few pictures of the frame and stuff... I might be over there this week, I have to go there to pick up the seat for my bike....

Maybe I am the only one but it seemed to me like there was less bickering and more technical stuff on the last episode. It almost seemed like senior got some of those happy pills or something. I like some of that new equipment they have in there new shop like the flow jet and the machine they use to cut out designs in wheels(I forget what it is called). There is not much quality programming anymore(if there was any)but I would have to say that the Discovery channel is one we watch regularly, including American Chopper and American Hotrod. You want a real laugh turn to A&E and watch an episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter...

I think the Aussie on one of the Biker Buildoffs was spot on. There are fabricators and then there are assemblers. Hollywood Sr. and Jr. fall into the latter imo. When I see Jr. pick up a metal forming hammer and shotbag instead of a catalog and a grinder, I'll give him a little respect. But I don't think he has the skills. Rick, Mike, and Vinnie to the rescue to do the real work. Need something? Order it, don't actually make it seems to be the motto. American HotRod is following in OCC's dysfunctional footsteps. It's all about the money and fame which = totally lame poseurs in my book.

I would like to actually see the idiots that buy thier bikes? Everything that needs fabbed is bought. After watching just a few shows who in thier right mind would spend thier hard earned $$$ on one of thier bikes. They are complete retards. The last show I watched, Jr didn't have Vinnie there to actually do the work for him and he forgot to notch the frame/fender for the chain. Its like watching wrestling to me, just plain stupid. The only tool they ever use ( jr or sr ) is a BFH ( big f_ _ king hammer) Dam, I shouldn't have read this post, those idiots get me fired up.

But the key is YOU ARE WATCHING and that is all that the advertisers and the network care about. I watch it on a regular basis and get a kick out of it. It is just called entertainment. You ask "who in there right mind"? Not me..
