Has anyone had a problem with this? Through this forum, I was advised that my multifunction switch might be the cause my turn signals and stop lights do not work. I've replaced the bulbs and checked the fuses and still no turn signals or stop lights. The front lights all work fine, including the turn signal. Another thing that is weird is that my blinker on my control panel blinks way faster than when it was working correctly.
If anyone has had this problem, how much did it cost to fix? I found a link on this forum explaining how to replace it, but I am hesitant to take apart my steering column only to find out this is not the problem.
By the way, if anyone has changed this themselves, is it difficult to do?
Also, if anyone else has had a problem with their turn signals and brake lights I would like to hear from you. Thanks.
Try checking all the grounds to the body and frame before you tear everything apart. And check the wires to the rear for shorts. Have you done any related work on the truck lately? Anything electrical?
I installed a radio with navigation on it, but the problem did not occur until a month or two later. At first, only the right blinker went out, then the left one went out about a week later.
Today I will see if I am getting current to the back bulbs. The night lights work fine, it is just the turn signals and brake lights that do not work.
