Data Plate

Where do I find the codes that are on the data plate inside the door of my van? I have a 93 e-350 super club wagon with the 5.8L engine. I would like to find out what my raer is & what my springs are. The axle code is 33 & the spring code is K4H. Any help would be appreciated.

Axle code 33 is for a Dana 60 w/ 3.54 Non-LS.

Can't help too much with the spring code. One site I found states that you ignore the 2nd digit in 3 digit codes and the 1st and 3rd in 4 digit ones. I know the 1st character is for the front spring and third is for the rear. Not sure about the "4". My code is BM4H, the "M" is the front and lists the same number as the "K" in your code. The "H" in both codes also list the same. I know for sure we have different front springs, because I have a diesel and you have a lighter 5.4.

Your rear end is a Dana 3.54 per my '94 owners manual. I assume you could go by the GAWR front and GAWR rear for the spring ratings. Half of each should represent each spring on that end.

Have found the following info, although this may not be what you are looking for:

K= front axle, partnumber of spring is F2UA-KA

H= rear axle, partnumber of spring is F2UA-HF

This comes from a Ford decoding list, but guess that you would want the spring capability in pounds; Don't have that.
