Fuse 5 Blowing for A/C, blend door.
Recently, F5 started blowing intermittantly on my '99 Expy. I checked all of the A/C and blend door parts and wiring and found no problems. I also noticed that when the fuse is blown, the auto door locks don't lock when put in park or drive. After a little research, I found that F5 also protects the reverse lights and is connected to the RAP module for the auto locks via the DTR sensor for reverse. I disabled the auto locks and the fuse hasn't blown (yet) after moving the shifter from park to reverse several times. Could my RAP module blow this fuse? Everything else controlled by the module works fine. So far, this SUV has cost me about 3 grand this year alone, Blown tranny, tie rod ends, IAC valve, all on a truck with less than 65,000 miles, and I hate to dump more cash into it. I have fixed most of the problems myself, but this one has been a long term pain in the gluteus. Thanks.
