Question motorcycle mounts

Hi Everyone,

Have a 04 f-250 4X4 SD CC short bed, need to figure out a way to haul 2 motorcycles in the bed securely, there to long so I must remove the tail gate.
looking for someone who maybe fabed some mounts from stake pockets or something, maybe purchased mounting from some aftermarket place? THE REASON FOR NO TRAILOR IS I'LL ALREADY BE TOWING A 30' TT.

Any help would be greatly appricated
Have a great day

That's why I bought a long bed. Is a trailer an option?

Buy or obtain some motorcycle "C" channel rails off of a trailer, put the tailgate down and bolt the rails to the bed. The channel should distribute the weight over the tailgate so as not to bend it.

If you do not want to bolt them down, put the bikes in backwards, then slide the channels under the bike's wheels until it hits the front of the bed. Then secure the bikes with tie downs pulling the bikes towards the front of the truck. This should take most of the weight off the front tires and put it on the back.

This is assuming the tailgate in the down position will clear your trailer. By the way, what is a "TT" trailer?

How long are the bikes?

Actually, you would not need to bolt the channels down in the forward facing position as the tie downs would keep the front wheel pulled down and toward the front. If the tailgate does not clear the trailer, remove it and set in in the bed.

How long is the tongue of the trailer from the front wall to the tip of the actualball socket? I am assuming that it is a tag trailer. What type of bikes are they also?

a couple years ago i found a tie down bar on ebay that will hold up to 3 bikes, and it bolts to the front side of the bed. its really nice, i love using it. it will also support the front side from pushing in towards the cab if you run the bikes up in too hard. it has 3 wheel chocks to hole the front tire, and then 4 tie down loops in-between for the straps to hold with. you might try finding something like that. one of the nicest things is that you can permanantely mount it, and it wont be in the way while its not being used. i just bolted mine directly to my toolbox in the bed. try this website......

they have a product very similar........ called a sportbar.... good luck !!!

You can do what I did. I bought a 30ft toy hauler. It has 8ft x 14ft garage.
I can haul 4 atv's or 3 large bikes.
With the bed empty I can haul a water tank and pressure washer
