Fuel Filter Empty
Hellow everyone, new problem 1975 F-250 4X4 390 New Edelbrock carb 1000 miles on it, every time I park it the fuel completely drains out of the fuel filter, pump it once, starts like a champ but always has to be restarted . I believe due to fuel line being empty.Has new vacumn gas cap which Advancd Auto says is correct. Can find no leaks, check oil regularly, not gaining any.Any help on this would be greatly appricated.
Thanks and have a great day

I run a lot of 351ws in my trucks and some fuel pumps seem to ( keep ) more
pressure than others, even if there new or not I have had (new) fuel pumps
not even last a day and then its time for a new one!
P.S. I think they just bleed down sometimes!

sounds like air is seeping into the fuel line somewhere and letting the fuel drain back. check your connections for tightness. If it has old hose somewhere in the system might want to replace. Even a hairline crack in hose will let air in but not let fuel out. Try this spray wd40 on hoses and connections. If it fires right off after you leave it awhile then you've isolated the problem.
