oil rings?
i have a 94 7.3 psd F450 and when i start it up in the morning the engine smokes alot.I read on here some where that it could be the injector oil rings.How hard is it to replace these if it is not to hard can some one please show me how.If the oil rings are bad how does this efect the performance of the engine would it make the engine low on power with engine oil going in there.please reply.

Bad injector o-rings allow high pressure oil into the fuel. Usally more smoke is seen at warmer temps because of thinner oil bypassing the o-rings. If you change your fuel filter and notice that its real dark(oily) looking that is also a good sign your o-rings are bad. Smoke in the morning (and its proably cold up their) would most likley be caused by bad glowplugs or a gpr. My .02cts
