Hello people, well finally found something to bitch about on my truck. Noticed a couple of times now that at 30mph I am getting a 2 to 300 rpm fluctation, if I increase the speed to say 45mph it dissapears. No hesitation on "pedal to the metal" and shifts are firm enough for me. Any ideas?
Funny you should mention that.
Just about 3 weeks ago, I was driving slowly through a neighborhood, and my new truck, (2004) which has about 6400 miles on it, started to surge, kind of like when a car is about to run out of gas. Shortage of fuel in my tank was not the cause, so what caused it?
At was stated in the previous post, the symtom went away once I increased my speed after leaving the neighborhood area.
SAME HERE,04 Screw ,5.4 up to 20,000 at a year old. In the dealer 2 times for this problem.I'm able to duplicate the surge when stopped in Park.Bring the RPM up to 1750 or so and the engine will stumble and get rough. Dealer says there's a TSB out and the "party line" is they are "aware of the problem and the engineers are working on it" . Guess we wait til they call us ....yeah right! Hope it doesn't happen when I merge into traffic?
Ive put mine in gear from a dead stop and after giving it a little gas to pull or back out it has surged two to three times immediately after on it's owne. once I had to break fast not to back into a car. I'm taking it to the dealer next week.

Mine does the same thing. Not all the time just no and again.
I just had my PCM reflashed for stalling/rough idle. It just started doing this same thing. I idles really low now too. About 600 rpm. Thought it was going to stall. Never took it back figured it was better than the thing stalling...
