Gas mileage.......ARRRRG !!!!!
I'll make you feel much better about your 12 MPG I built a 347 stroker before the gas prices went beserk and I get about 7 - 8 city and 9 highway if i dont put my foot into it too much..... It will pass anything but a gas station though
and i have to admit it is fun to run the old grandpa truck against unsuspecting kids ......now i just have to save the money for the supercharger......maybe this spring .......... then i'll get about 2 or three mpg....

I have found an 81 stepside that the guy had for $1200 and i talked him down to $750. It has a 302, and an A40D Out of a 86. He said it doesnt shift right and that there is some vibrations from some where in the drivetrain. I may get it and if i do than i will put my motor and trans in it.Which would be really cool. It has less weight which means faster. He also put a different rearend under it but if i dont like it i will use mine.
