ok fellas i just weighed my new 05 f250 crew cab short bed 4x4 v10 xlt, torqshift, 430 gears, full tank of fuel everthing stock on a digital truck scale it weighed 6880lbs. my first tank of fuel was 10.6 mph and that was running it pretty hard, i know it needs to break in but just cant keep my foot out of it also i like to run it in tow haul as i like the way the trans shifts in tow haul. i have found that lowering the tire pressures to 45 front and 35 rear makes for a much more compliant ride. still waiting for those 35 in tall mud grips but dunlop 35/12.50r/17 mud rover are on backorder well post as soon as i get them on. all ican say this is an awesome ride

Right on Rubicon Glad you like the new V10. Your truck weight sounds right if you were not in the truck. My truck, F350 CC Lariat 4X4 long box is 7400 with me inside ( 185 ) and tank not quite full. I would be careful running only 35 lbs in an 8 ply tire. They get warm at low pressure normal speed and hot at high speed. I keep my 10 ply rating at 65 front and rear and when I put my camper on the rear will go to 80 lb. You are getting better mileage than me and I have 4.10s . That is probably the only thing I might have done different on this truck if I knew then what I know now is to have ordered 4.30s. Mine is super easy to burn out so you 4.30 guys must be challanged to take off without screaming. I have 18 wheels as well so your 17s must be wild. Let us know how the tall tires talk when you get them. Today I was going up a steep hill at around 40 MPH and I poured the coal to her to pass an inferior truck. The rear tires broke loose and my *** end swung out. I backed off got traction and away I went. I have done that same hill many times over the years in my last 3 PSDs and never had that happen. These 3 valve V10s are a sweet motor without a doubt. Enjoy yours, Wrench.
please don't tell me i have to scale it now. its got 12 inches of snow in the bed. i do have 1 problem, mine and my wifes right foot on that small pedal.
Your right in line -my F250 CC SB V10 with 285s, whole lot of "look good" accessories, a full tank of fuel and me in it it wieghs in a 7020lbs. I weigh about 170 so you get the Idea.
big welcome to the site and our v10 love. please go up and look at the site rules so you understand them. one of our mods will tell you that also,
you will find that us v10 men in here are a bunch of v10 crazed people who love smoking hemis.
