Hi, I have A 1998 F150 supercab 4x4 with a 4.6l. if i were to need a new motor what years model 4.6 will fit and what kind of money or is a crate motor a better choice and how much.
A stock crate motor would run about 3k. Any year would do, unless you get your hands on a double over head cam 4.6. In which case you should call me and I'll trade you my 4.6 for it.
As always, check ebay for a good deal on a engine.
i have a similar problem. i had the radiator replaced and when the 'mechanic' replaced it, he refilled it with water instead of antifreeze. When i had the rear end of my truck replaced the truck sat at my house. During that period it froze. Now i have a 4.6l with a cracked block. Could i upgrade to a 5.4L? and if i did what all would i have to upgrade as well? Any info would be great, thanks -david
