Dang it. The dreaded time has come.

Time for a clutch (slips under load). Is dial-a-clutch the best deal I'm going to get? I don't want to get a single-mass flywheel, but a new dual-mass is WAY out of my budget. Where's the best deal on a flywheel/clutch assembly going to come from?

I guess I really can't complain, though. 136K on a factory clutch that hauled a horse trailer for 105K and huge tires for the remaining 31K.

I've researched the 'net and the forums for downsides/upsides to single mass and come up with the conclusion that there really is no downside. Less noise at idle, cheaper clutch replacement, etc. Someday I want to install a C6 behind the PSD, but I need to drive the rig and I can't seem to find anyone who can help me with a PSD/C6 combo at this time.

Any leads on cheap clutch kits is greatly appreciated.

Cody

Try carolinaclutch.com They probably are as competitive price wise as any other.

When I bought my LUK, diselsite was was the least expensive by a god bit, and I've had exceptional service from Bob Riley in the past. I've never heard anything bad about dial a clutch, but when I needed mine they were almost $100 more for the same clutch.

I bought my LuK from Tymar Performance. They beat Carolina Clutch by about 75 bucks.

cleatus12: Be carefull about that C6 behind the diesel. Tooo much torque for the old reliable box at times will make for a short life span.

Umm...a C6 is a 3 spd slush box, not a 6 speed manual...
