When I play an audio CD in my Sony PS2 it skips, it happens about every 30 seconds or so, just when you think it's done it happens again. It doesn't matter it it's a brand new CD or an old burned one. The audio never skips while playing a game or movie... What gives?
That's interesting, I didn't even realize you could do that with them. Don't tell my kid or he will think he needs it in his room so he can watch movies and listen to music in his room.
I always play mine throught the stereo system anyways. Sounds so much better.
how old is your system mine was one of the first ones built and it wont play any cd based disc. i can only play the dvd games and dvd movies. sony is fixing the older ones with lens problems but i screwed with mine before i found out about it so i gotta live with it.
Does it still play the games ok??? And movies??? My first PS2 was about a year and a half old and it quit playing audio cd's. About a month or so later I was playing a game, and it froze and said "Disc Read Error." It did this over and over again. I tore it apart(warranty was out), cleaned it and tried to adjust the laser...didn't help. Contacted Sony, and they said some of their lasers then were a little weak and to send it in. Well, I couldn't wait for two or three weeks and had to go to Best Buy and get a new one.
