I have a 02 F350 DRW 2wd 75k and there is a banging noise when I’m driving and hitting bumps on the front driver’s side.
The shocks are new Bilsteins and I thought that one may have been bad and replaced both. Wheel bearings are good and have been repacked. Brakes are good. I have tried applying the brakes while accelerating and the noise still continues. Any info would be great.<O></O>

I tried the sway bar in several different locations and near the links. There is no play on either side of the sway bar all looks good. How much play is there suppose to be in the tie-rod and drag link? When I am moving them front to back there is a definite knock when I get to either end on the movement of the arm. How can you tell if it’s the tie-end rods?
Your never gonna belive this. After many hours under the truck I finally took the truck to the dealership. After an one and half hours and some chassis ears the problem was a loose shock bolt on the REAR!!! The sound was travelling up the frame to the front.
You can rotate the drag link front to back and you can even get it to bang as you move it front to back. Checked other PSD's and it did this and tested a new drag link on another PSD.
