Lug nuts vibrating lose?

Last summer I changed over my tires to 33 12.5R15 on Steel rims but the rims are 7" wide rims. I have been saving up for a safer wider set of rims. Since last month I have been noticing that the driver's side rear and both fronts, lug nuts are backing off the studs. I am regularly tighting them back on but I have broken two on the front, completely off. -- I didn't notice my air pressure on the gun was pretty high.

Any thoughts on way my lugs on coming lose?

You need to properly torque them my friend. Especially if they are giving you a hard time. 100 Ft #'s and you should be golden. Steel wheels shouldnt need retorqued, but do it anyways after 100 miles. And replace those lug nuts. I did tires for a couple years and didnt have a problem with nuts comming loose other then new alloys. Good luck

I will be using a torque wrench and not rely on my air gun for proper torque setting.

Make sure you are using acorn type lug nuts and the wheels have a tapered seat for the acorn lug nuts and do not not have a flat surface where the lug nuts seat.
