Turn 2WD into 4WD???
I am looking at a '71 f100 2WD. I would like to know what door trucks I could use to make this a 4WD. I know it's alot of work but the price is good for this truck. nice body 360FE and a 3 on the tree. Runs great for $1000. So what trucks can I use to swap everything over to make this a 4WD and what exactly will need to be changed IE tranny???

I think if you want a four wheel drive that it would better to buy a four wheel drive? Keep looking for them they are out there. I picked up my 69 F-100 Rnager for $375 and runs like a dream. When you convert a 2wd to a 4wd you are looking at alot of money and alot of work. i was told when i wanted to do the same thing to change the radiator cap. open the hood take the cap off back that 2wd away then pull your 4wd up and put the 2wd radiator cap on the 4wd truck. so i started looking at everything that would needed to be done and i was not ready to put that much into it
