I haven't seen a post on here yet about this (hopefully I didn't miss it), but X-Box is having a recall of sorts on their power cords. Apparently they heat up and melt (1 in 10,000). If you go to www.xbox.com and follow the link they will send you a FREE replacement cord. I gave them my info on Friday and had my new cord on Monday.
oh great i can't get mine because i can't read the serial number anymore or the date code and they would not help they said i could buy one for 19.95 plus 4.95 ship
You guys are still buying console systems that change every year - are you????
The only real entertainment in that is watching suckers buy (at huge prices) all of those disks and cartridges that will be outmoded soon by the next system they dream up to cause you to buy even more STUFF!!!
Who convinced you that you REALLY NEED that?
Is entertainment so difficult to find?
You guys are entertaining me, for example....
I can't believe you spent money on THAT...

PS: PC programs are the only way to go - they remain stable and playable (many times over). Any company that does not offer PC game format - I REFUSE TO DEAL WITH.
They will become outmoded, and the relics they were played on will go the way of the ATARI system

aah, yet you spend time playing on the internet on a computer that becomes outdated every 6months.
The way I look at it, their machines are staying top of the line twice as long as our computers.
Anyway, I'm still trying to beat King Koopa on my original Nintendo. Eventually, maybe within the next year or two I'll be ready to upgrade to a super Nintendo. Now thats a powerful machine.

Wolfus, good to see you back... I look at it this way, I'm enought a computer nut to be able to "crack" the XBOX, put linux on it, and have a very capable network server..... So when I can get them for 119.99 used everyday, the bigger question is "why not?".
